Coming all from the Scarline Vineyard in the Columbia Valley and aged in 50% new oak, the 2017 Syrah reveals a deep purple color as well as impressive notes of blueberries, blackberries, ground pepper, bacon fat, and lavender. Rich, medium to full-bodied and nicely textured, it has a solid spine of acidity, terrific purity, and a clean, lengthy finish. It will be even better with another year or three of bottle age and keep for a decade. - Jeb Dunnuck
