The 2019 vintage began with cool temperatures and heavy snowpack, resulting in saturated soils. Budbreak occurred later than usual, with ample nutrients available for growth. This led to significant canopy development and a large fruit set, resulting in a substantial harvest. An early freeze impacted some production, but most had already been harvested or was in unaffected areas.
