2021 Cuvee B -92pts
The 2021 Cuvee B is coy in the glass, grumbling with its dark blend of camphor and crushed rocks slowly giving way to sage and blackberries. This is round and supple with silken textures and masses of ripe red and blue fruits that ride a stream of vibrant acidity. Seductive, finishing long and structures yet not severe, as sweet tannins and hints of lavender pastille frame the experience nicely. Vinous

n 2021, an early bud break occurred due to a dry winter and warm spring, with cold nights posing a frost threat in Columbia Valley. Despite warm conditions leading to a smaller crop, late June experienced extreme heat (110-118°F for nearly three weeks). Yields were low, but Sauvignon Blanc maintained high quality thanks to cooling in August. Red wines had less color compared to previous years, though Washington's anthocyanin abundance ensures decent color.
